I USED TO WRITE WITH MY LEFT HAND, short film

Director, Actor, Writer

Shame and violence have tethered the queer relatives of a Chicago Southside Irish Catholic family. As the youngest of the family reckons with their own pain, they work to grab ahold of their inherited narrative in an attempt to redirect it.

“…a complex deep-dive into generational trauma by captivating queer artist Luzzo.”

Erin Shae Brady, New City Stage

“Only ten minutes long, I Used to Write with My Left Hand is the kind of restorative we all need to show the capacities of the human spirit.”

City Pleasures

“Luzzo illuminates the potential catharsis and healing to be accessed when we ‘go home’ again—quite a takeaway, in this socially-distanced era.”
